Biography:

Sabine is Danish (with Danish parents) but is often mistaken for being Latin or south European because of her looks and dance style - and foreign countries are also to be tracked in her genes and have influenced her upbringing.

Sabine is from a family with self owned dancing school, Gottliebsen Dancing Institute, which was situated at Falkoner Allé, Frederiksberg (DK), owned by her great-grandmothers sister Johanne Gottliebsen. Here Sabines mother and her siblings was taught ballroom dances, acrobatics and ballet until Johanne Gottliebsen retired and had to close the school before the birth of Sabine.

Obviously with this background her mother sent her to dance classes already beofre the age of 5.

Education:
Sabine is a certified Coach (life-coach) from Mindjuice in Copenhagen. Earlier on she was educated as a fashion designer from Hellerup Textile Academy, an international business oriented and wide fashion education. Before that she took 1 year fashion design study in France.

Sabine started dancing Salsa in 1999 and started her own companies Salsabine and Salsakurser I/S in 2005.

Sabine danses ALL salsa genres: L.A.Salsa (On1), N.Y.Salsa (On2/also called Mambo), Cuban Salsa, Rueda de Casino and Cuban Son.

Through her childhood and teens she danced jazz ballet, street dance, hip-hop and did gymnastics. After starting Salsa dancing she could add more to the list: Bachata, Merengue, Kizomba, Reggaeton, Cha-Cha-Cha, belly dancing and Samba.

In 2010 Sabine also became a certified Zumba-instructor and did Zumba classes for about 1 year, among others for the biggest hospital in Denmark, Rigshospitalet.

Her education in Salsa dancing & her knowledge here-of was founded through her numberious Salsa travels which includes both classes, workshops and private lessons at the worlds best & most acknowledged Salsa instructors from New York, L.A., London, Puerto Rico and Cuba, both at their own dance schools and at a lot of Salsa congresses all over Europe - and many visits to salsa clubs around the world.

Salsa came into her life:
Exactly when starting the studies in Denmark salsa came into her life. She was attracted from the first moment. First and foremost because of the energetic and warmblooded latin rhythms that had always captured her, although never having heard real salsa music before.

On top of that she was introduced to a kind and socially outgoing environment, including classes, social gatherings, and an attractive night club environment where it was accepted to be yourself and where it was fascinating to fell how everybody came out to have fun, be present, bond and dance. The environment also made room for different nationalities, ages and different types of people.

It became a whole new lifestyle of hers and made Sabine start a dancing career.
